Our beef is raised on lush pasture with lots of fresh air and a bundle of TLC. This beef is fresh, locally raised, delicious and produced in a way that is humane and friendly to the animal, our earth and you.

This is real beef……..

After being delicately aged, your meat will be cut into gourmet quality steaks, tender moist roast, and delicious burger. All your meat will be wrapped, labeled, frozen and ready for your freezer.

How is the beef sold? Beef is only sold by the quarter, half or whole. We do not sell cuts separately (steaks, roast, burger, etc).

What must I do to get this delicious beef? First you must get your reservation to us and submit your deposit.

"deposit" of $100 per quarter is required at the time you place your reservation. For a half reserve 2 quarters. For a whole reserve 4 quarters. This deposit will be deducted from your total.

To submit your reservation on-line and pay by credit/debit card, choose quantity from drop down list and select "Buy Now".

What will be my cost? In order to comply with state law you must own the animal before it can be processed (we do not have a license to sell cuts). We use a system that allows you to purchase an interest in a calf for $100 per quarter as mentioned above. We then charge you a handling fee based on the hanging weight of the carcass ($6.99 per pound) plus the cost of processing (about $125 to $150 per quarter). Based on these estimates, you can expect to pay around $850 to $950 per quarter. Your exact price will be determined once we have taken your calf to the processor and have the actual hanging weights.

When will the beef be ready?  This is hard to schedule. We'll keep you posted as things progress. Once we start scheduling pick up of your beef order, you will have several pick up options that will span several weeks.

Where do I pick-up my meat? With your permission, pick up will be here at the farm by reservation.

Why buy from Goose Pond Farm? We know what we’re doing! This is the only way we’ve been raising beef for the last 23+ years, so we haven’t just jumped on the band wagon of the grass-fed craze. We are pasture-raised experts!  Natural growth, great taste and good health start in the soil and works it’s way through the grass. Calves that eat healthy grass (raised in healthy soil) are healthy and that, in turn, provides you with good, clean, healthy food. All of this is so you can have the best. Simply put: Food is very personal. You must know your farmer to know your food!

Humane Treatment: There's more to treating your beef humanely than giving them a cute name like Bessie. Click here to learn more.

What can you expect? First, keep in mind you are buying an interest in a live animal. It is important to understand different animals will cut-out differently. What you actually get will depend on many factors; one of which will be the size of the calf. However, the same size animals can and will produce different results. If you have ordered before, please note that the quantity you got in the past for the price you paid in the past may or may not be the quantity you get this year for the same price you paid in the past. The numbers can, will and do vary.

Below is a rough  approximation of what you can expect to get for each quarter you purchase.

After you have placed your reservation, you will be given the opportunity to choose from one of the two following cutting options (be sure to place your reservation first and wait for further email  instructions).

Option #1: This is our most popular option. With this options, you can expect to get approximately 75 to 100 pounds of freezer meat per quarter. This will fill about 2 standard 30 gallon Rubber Maid containers.

Steaks: (All steaks will be cut 1 1/4” thick.)
  • 3 to 4 Rib steaks
  • 3 to 4 T-bone steaks
  • 2 to 3 Sirloin steaks
  • 2 to 3 Filet steaks

Roast: (All roasts will be 3# to 5#)
  • 2 to 3 Chuck roast
  • 2 to 3 Shoulder roast
  • 1 to 2 Sirloin Tip Roast
  • 1 to 2 Rump roast
  • Beef-burger: Between 25 to 35 lean one pound packages.

Option #2: The steaks listed above and beef-burger (no roast). This is a great option for couples and those with small families. However, this is going to be a risky option for most of you because you do not understand how little lean burger is in a calf. This option does not reduce the amount of meat you will get. However, removing the bone and most of the fat really reduces the volume you get.
This option will give you the premium steaks and the best premium beef-burger ever. There is nothing like this at any store anywhere!
Note: Unless you have taken this option before, you must call to discuss this option.
