Why We Sell in Bulk and don't Deliver
Basically, when one asks about delivery, smaller quantities, etc., they are asking that their buying experience be more like the retail buying they are currently doing. Sounds reasonable. However, retails sales is an all-consuming business. Also, keep in mind that retail food stores do not grow anything. Their focus is on marketing, having a good location, convenient hours, a good selection, and reasonable pricing, etc.
Their total focus is your buying experience… not your health.
The old adage: “you can’t expect to achieve different results by doing thing the same way you are doing them now” is especially true for buying good food.
You would not be looking here if you were happy with the current and conventional food distribution system (even, so called “health food” stores). You would prefer buying from someone like us who is interested in your health. Thus, you need to realize that asking the farmer to make things "easier" for you, is, in fact, asking him to resemble what you already don't like and a system that is not working toward providing you with the best food.
Let’s start thinking outside the box.
Everyone knows that farming is more than a full-time job. To spend time achieving a retail look so as to make this easier for you takes your farmer away from what he ought to be doing. That is, taking care of your food.
We decided a long time ago that this retail look was not going to work if we are going to produce the best meats possible. It would end up wearing us out and beating us down to the point we’d quit. Instead, we were going to focus on what it takes to raise the best, most nutritionally dense food possible. We were going to leave the retail business to those already in it.
We’ve been at this for over 20 years and are still going strong. Our beef sells out in days after we post its availability. That ought to speak of the quality we produce.
You’ll have to decide what's important to you and just how much you are willing to invest in your health and the health of your family. If you’re only willing to invest in the best and are willing to give up a little convenience, then you're in the right place.
